Our Greatest Hindrance, Our Greatest Hope: Reclaiming Prayer in Recovery

Andrea Jordan

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Prayer—not just platforms, programs, or productivity—is a critical missing piece in the sexual recovery movement. Scripture commands prayer without ceasing, yet ministries often advance without prayer first preceding and continually sustaining the work. Sexual brokenness is not new; early believers overcame it without modern ministries or tools. We can be grateful for contemporary resources, but lasting and FULL transformation depends on restoring a serious regard for prayer—long neglected and misunderstood, yet our greatest hope.

Professional Learning Objectives:

Recognize the Primacy of Prayer in NT Ministry

Identify Gaps in Current Ministry Practices

Provide Practical Prayer Strategies & Exhortation
