Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to foster healing without shame, apply evidence-based interventions, and navigate this sensitive topic through a lens of compassion and biblical truth. Counselors will leave encouraged and better prepared to walk alongside clients seeking clarity, growth, and renewed identity in Christ.

About: Dr. Floyd Godfrey’s career began with a deep commitment to helping others, starting at Tempe Social Services where he worked with children and families. This early experience shaped his understanding of family systems and child development and later informed his work in play therapy within mental health practice.

Over the past 25 years, Dr. Godfrey has developed comprehensive sexual addiction programming serving adults, couples, young adults, and adolescents. His evidence based work addresses sexualized attachments and eroticized emotions while promoting personal growth and relational healing. His recent publication targets young men struggling with sexual confusion or same-sex attractions.

Grounded in a biblical worldview, Dr. Godfrey integrates faith with clinical practice to support emotional and spiritual restoration. He holds degrees from Arizona State University, Ottawa University, and the International Institute for Clinical Sexology. He has guided clients since 2000 and currently provides consulting, speaking, and mental health coaching internationally.
