Therapists, counselors, coaches, and peer facilitators encounter people impacted by sexual abuse and exploitation daily, but may lack life experience, awareness, or specific training to understand sexual abuse, exploitation, and sexual trauma victims. This workshop for Christian helping professionals incorporates biblical foundations, holistic approaches, understanding victim profiles, presenting issues, the ripple effect within community, why this issue remains largely hidden, forming care teams, vetting referral sources, developing collaborative processes, and establishing safe environments.

Understand the depth of the problem and hidden nature of sexual abuse to include a biblical and trauma-informed framework.

About: Illuminate founder, counselor, coach, speaker, and author, Trish Propson has been passionately using the pain of her past to help others find healing and hope for over 30 years. A sexual abuse and exploitation survivor, her programs raise awareness, inspire healing, and advocate for change surrounding sexual abuse and exploitation issues in Christian communities. Trish is a Board Certified Christian Mental Health Coach specializing in sexual trauma, Certified Biblical Counselor, Licensed Crisis Response and Law Enforcement Chaplain, and trauma-informed sexual abuse advocate. She holds a doctorate degree and two master’s degrees in Strategic Christian Ministry and Pastoral Counseling to help raise awareness, bring change, and foster healing in the church surrounding this sensitive topic.
